TERMS & CONDITIONS

Swimfit Midlothian Terms of Booking and Payment for all class levels excluding Community Swims

Swimfit Midlothian classes run all year round. These are calculated on a 48/52 annualised fee to allow for the company’s 4 week annual leave. Fees are paid via direct debit through GoCardless on the 1st of the month. All classes are pre paid for the month ahead.

The direct debit is the sole responsibility of the member. Membership remains live until written notice of cancellation is received from the member or the member cancels their direct debit with the bank.

Group Class Cancellation - Participant

If you are unable to attend class due to illness/child illness/work shift etc, you may request a catch up session within the 7 days following your missed class. Catch up sessions will be allocated based on space availability.

*Missed classes due to self-isolating part way through a month, will not be entitled to a refund or credit

*Catch up classes are not available where absence is due to member’s holidays.

You have the right to cancel your membership at any time. Cancellations received prior to the 22nd of the month will cancel the membership at the end of the same month. Cancellations received after the 22nd of the month will cancel the membership from the end of the following month.

121 Class Cancellation – Participant

121 class cancellations or missed classes are not entitled to a refund or catch up.

Class Cancellation – Coach

Cancellation of class will be the last option by the coach. In this situation, a credit will be applied to the next available direct debit. Separate refunds will not be issued  

Class Cancellation – Local / National Virus Lockdown – post 14/9/20

In the event of a local or national lockdown due to a COVID 19, or any virus outbreak, all classes will be immediately cancelled on the advice of the government. Direct Debits will be placed on hold pending return. Members will receive a credit for missed classes that have been paid for. Separate refunds will not be issued.

Class Cancellation – Venue closure

In the event the facility needs to be closed for maintenance:

7 days or under – no refunds will be issued for cancelled classes

8 days or over – members will receive a credit for each class cancelled over the 7th day.

Swimfit Midlothian Terms of Booking and Payment for Community Swim

Community Swims run with a coach in the water actively swimming the set. A coach is not required to be present at all sessions. Community swims run with or without a Swimfit Midlothian Coach. Each participant in the session is individually accountable and responsible for themselves, their health and their safety.

Missed community swim sessions for any reason are not eligible for a catch up session or refund.

Disclosure Forms

All members, both online and club, must complete a Disclosure form prior to attending their first class / starting a USRPT programme. Swimfit Midlothian reserves the right to refuse class admittance if a Disclosure form has not been received.

COVID 19 Policy

The COVID 19 policy is in place to ensure the safety of all Swimfit Midlothian coaches, members, venue staff and public. All members will be emailed a copy for reading before starting in sessions. The policy will be available to read at all times on the Swimfit Midlothian website.

Swimfit Midlothian reserve the right to terminate a membership for failure to follow the Swimfit Midllothian COVID 19 Policy. No refunds will be issued for a membership termination

USRPT

USRPT is a form of high intensity training. Undertaking of this training by online members or club members is entirely at their own risk.

Swimfit Midlothian USRPT Online Terms of Booking and Payment

3 Month Training Plan - Following the verbal consultation, Swimfit Midlothian must receive a disclosure form and full payment prior to the individual training programme being developed and communicated to the client. Once the training programme is communicated, the plan cannot be cancelled and refunds will not be issued.

Online USRPT Membership – Following the verbal consultation, Swimfit Midlothian must receive the first monthly instalment prior to the individual training plan being developed and communicated to the member. Cancellation within the first 3 months will incur a charge up to 3x the monthly amount, less any amount already paid. Cancellation after the first 3 months will incur no further charges.

Swimfit Midlothian will issue an invoice for the first instalment on an online membership. Monthly instalments will then continue via standing order on the 1st of every month. Failure to make the standing order payment will result in Swimfit Midlothian cancelling the online membership. 

Nutrition

Swimfit Midlothian does not provide nutrition or dietary advice to support exercise or training. Each member is responsible for their own dietary requirements and to seek advice from a nutritional expert if required.
